Budgetary and Resource Requirements
Cam Cargill: Freelance Creative
Setting up my creative enterprise will not be costly as such, as my funding will be primarily spent on building a website and making a freelance uniform; this would be better for me and the creative enterprise financially as the other costs for other things (such as a laptop, social media page and job boards) would either not require me to use any spending or I'd be able to afford other requirements needed for my creative enterprise.
Resources
Resources
- Business card
- Business website
- Business social media page
- Connections throughout freelance work
- Financial advice
- Freelance Uniform (Black polo with logo?)
- Laptop (For independent work use)
- Using job boards for work
Equipment such as laptops and cameras will generally be paid for by myself unless I am told to rent out equipment. Renting of equipment will be cheaper financially but having my own equipment will mean that I will be self-reliant and can save money on a long-term basis rather than pay to rent equipment that isn't my own.
In relation to my creative enterprise, my pay-rate would be dependent on who hires me and how long for - working with how much they are willing to pay me for my services as well as looking at the rates I may offer; this will create a professional relationship between me and my employer/colleague for getting an idea for average pay rates as well as looking at how I can still earn a decent income without it being too extortionate for my colleagues. Funding for my creative enterprise would be gained through self-earned cash during my employment.
